At deRecruiters, we are collaborating with a fast-growing technology company in the search for a Forward Deployed Engineer to lead the deployment of real-world AI solutions for enterprise clients.
About the Role
We are looking for a versatile Forward Deployed Engineer who operates at the intersection of engineering, product, and customer delivery. In this role, you will embed directly with enterprise teams to uncover their operational needs, turn complex workflows into production-ready AI agents, and ensure solutions deliver measurable business impact.
Responsibilities:
Customer Embedding & Discovery: Embed with customer teams to understand their operational workflows, constraints, and success metrics.
Technical Planning & Execution: Turn loosely defined operational challenges into clear technical roadmaps and robust production systems.
AI Agent Development: Design and build AI agents that seamlessly integrate with customer tools, data pipelines, and core business processes.
End-to-End Ownership: Lead deployments from initial prototype through production launch, continuous monitoring, and iterative improvements.
Data-Driven Optimization: Test solutions with real-world data, measure concrete business outcomes, and refine based on evidence.
Pragmatic Engineering: Make balanced tradeoffs across system architecture, reliability, speed, and user experience.
Core Product Partnership: Collaborate with internal Product and Engineering teams to feed customer insights back into the core platform and develop reusable tools and best practices.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience building software or solving complex technical enterprise problems.
Strong Engineering Foundations: Proven expertise in software architecture, system design, production engineering, APIs, integrations, and distributed systems.
Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated ability to bring structure, clarity, and momentum to ambiguous operational environments.
Client-Facing Confidence: Experience working directly with diverse stakeholders, from operational teams to technical executives.
Communication & Ownership: Clear communication skills, sound technical judgment, and a strong sense of end-to-end ownership.
AI Passion: Genuine curiosity and enthusiasm for applied AI and its capability to transform business operations.
Nice to Have:
Prior experience in forward-deployed, solutions engineering, technical consulting, or customer-facing engineering roles.
Hands-on experience building AI agents, workflow automation tools, or conversational systems.
Familiarity with LLM evaluation, observability, and reliability in production environments.
Track record of deploying and scaling systems within complex enterprise ecosystems.
